H&M: Spring Clothing Line Features Organic, Recycled Fibers
The Clothing maker at H&M plans to debut an environmentally friendly line this spring for women, men and children.
The collection will consist of organic cotton and recycled fibers. Also, organic linen will feature prominently, as will polyester made from recycled PET bottles and Tencel, a fabric the company describes as a silky, renewable material produced with minimal environmental impact. The Sprint line includes t-shirts, blazers, dresses, skirts and jeans. It will be in stores April.
The company says the continuous collection will feature at different times and within different ranges.
"It's not just about organic cotton any more, the possibilities for creating a complete fashion statement with eco smarter materials are huge now. By designing recurring Conscious Collections we have the opportunity to show in a variety of ways what's possible using more sustainable fabrics," says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M Head of design.

Alberta Ferretti Unveils Emma Watson Line
The Milan collection is a "green" long term project by designer Alberta Ferretti and British Actress Emma Watson based on environmental friendly materials and techniques made in Italy. Part of the profit will be donated to People Tree, a nonprofit organization that Emma Watson supports. The People Tree collaborates with manufacturers in 15 developing countries and stimulates small companies to produce low-impact clothing. The packaging is also environmentally friendly. The collection consists of five pieces: two dresses, a shirt, a long skirt and a pair of denim shorts, all enriched with lace embroideries and made with organic fabrics such as cotton poplin, cotton muslin and hemp.The collection will be exclusively available on March 21 on albertaferreti.com and be labeled Pure Threads.

I love H&M an I'm sure they will be able to make organic but still uber stylish pieces. I find that with a lot of eco fashion, they might have stylish shapes and designs, but the fabric is still somewhat bland and unappealing. Can't wait to see what H&M will come up with. April...yay!
